Controversial Hats

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and their fascinators from Philip Treacy

The daughters of Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, often received criticism from the public either for their outrageous outfits or late night party out. And in the recent wedding of their cousin, Prince William, their fascinators did not escape from the public scrutiny again.

Some of the royal guests and family members equally donned ridiculous frocks and silly fascinator hats but those of the York sisters received the most unflattering comments. Princess Eugenie's blue fascinator was dubbed as the royal fishnet while that of her sister looked like an arch or something. Now Beatrice's hat is auctioned at ebay to benefit the UNICEF's The Little Bee Initiative in the UK and Children for Crisis Charity.

Though many people poked fun at the princess's fascinator, there are some who just want to own it, well, after all it is famously worn by a royal from a popular royal house, it will be a good keepsake for a life time. The hat now fetches 81,000 UK pound.
